Old Telephone Exchange

On walking around the docks I stumbled on an environmental centre based in the Old Telephone Exchange in the Swansea dock area. It is a beautiful building built in 1903. The environment centre have worked really hard on restoring and expanding the building to accommodate a lovely cafe and garden. It is full of character and steeped with history. On enquiring if we could use the space I was delighted to find the lovely co-ordinator was so enthusiastic about the idea she instantly said yes!! I am very excited about the space.

Next step is to visit the archive to research the history of this incredible building to gain inspiration to create an exhibition for November.
